I am really gaining anything if I was to only swap out the 60mm throttle body on my 1994 mustang cobra to a 65mm throttle body or possibly a 70mm throttle body?Is there anything I need to consider doing when increasing the throttle body by 5 to 10 mm?I am guessing the factory air box would need to be replaced as well or can i keep the stock look instead of getting a cold air kit?
Thanx

All the dyno and experience I have says you will not gain anything. There is a Ford 5.0 combo book out there with engine dyno #s on every mod they changed that shows the stock t/b does not start being a restriction on a n/a motor until like 400 FWHP.

My personal experience at the race track, before/after went from a 55mm t/b to a 70mm with a Cobra intake and typical bolt ons. Car on average lost about 2-3MPH in the 1/4 mile, which tells me it actually lost HP. You can keep the stock airbox.

Darhawk on here went to a 65mm IIRC with some CAI (5.0 Cobra as well) but didn't want a chrome one. Not sure if he got on the dyno or not...
