OK, just got my Sniper Special Forces tuning software. I set my tranny to shift super firm (race, as they call it on the software). From what I understand about autos (which is admittedly very, very little) firm shifts are a good thing, but could this be too firm? Any chance of doing damage driving it around like that, or is there no such thing as 'too firm'? Thanks in advance guys.

BTW, the tuning software it THE shit. I love it, in just a quick drive down the freeway my baby seemed much happier. Now its back to the track to see how a little tuning helped out. I'd place money on me being very close the the 14-flat world, maybe better. I've yet to run the data logging ability yet, so I'm sure I can tweek that tune in a little better after a few passes at the track.

you wont hurt the tranny bumping shift pressure but it could shortne the life...might want to get a cooler for it.

I would say low 14s but who knows.

your times seem weird...

14.5 at 94 mph seems fast for that slow of a trap speed.

It all depends on where the powers at....I thought I threw the timeslip up..cant remember.

Thats kinda what I thought with the tranny, we shall see, I may knock it back a few notches for street driving and reserve the hardcore setting for just the track. I do 90% freeway driving to and from work, so it dosnt shift through the gears that much.

I'm going to datalog it this weekend and see whats going on. I dont honestly think my times are slow for the power I've got...I just think the power I got is low for my mods. Now that its been tuned and I've got the tranny running right(prior to the tune, made .5 secs just by servicing the darn thing), I'm going to put it back up on the dyno and see where I'm at. Based on my mods, how its feels, and what I've heard(mostly from members on this site), My guess is I'll be around 240rwhp, that should put my times around 14 flat, maybe better, any thoughts?

that estimate sounds about right

where is your car shifting?

I just feel like yu should be trapping higher.

Hell, my car all NPI with long tubes and gears did 14.5 at 96 mph

i was trapping 98 mph at 14.2 and now trapped 102 mph last time out with the o/r pipe.

your time is fast for only traping 94 mph...what was your 60 foot like?

maybe the tracks speed reading is wrong
