So removing the panels and putting something in there to fill some of the space in between sounds like a good idea to me because it will keep them from moving around as much.My car isn't loud anyway and I can hear plenty of my exhaust through the windows and when the top is down. I dont need everything else shaking and vibrating to remind me I have an exhaust system. Plus I dont have mid pipe or mufflers that have a really deep sound to them (LTs, Dr Gas X, Spintech mufflers), so I dont get the drone and vibrations that way either.My cobra on the other hand has a Pro Chamber and 3 chamber flows (barf) and when I drive both my cars back to back my convertible makes the cobra feel like a rattling fox w/ hatchback. So I'm going to put a little matting on the firewall and floor of the cobra just to get it a bit quieter.</blockquote>
