well im going to quiet down the stang a little. Going to raammat the whole car. i found this b stock on ebay and just thought id let u guys know about it. i was hoping to have it done by now so i could tell ya what i thought about it but havent gotten started yet. This is the 2nd time he has listed it so he will pry list it again after this one is up. after reading the reviews, sounddeadenershowdown.com etc i think this raammat is good stuff. i still have to get something for the doors and dunno what ima do there.

the b stock only took 175 degrees for 24 hours so it didnt pass their test. they said everything else is fine. and @ 79 for a roll its a good deal. :google2: for more info. ill let ya know how it goes what i think about it when i get it done

I have my whole trunk area done, floor, spare well, the sides, even the top and put the stock interior panels back over it. I didn't notice any difference but I have dumps before the axle. I'm putting a single small sub in the corner as well as the bottle and the battery back there so I wanted to get the raammatt in before I put all that in and would have to remove it and redo it.

My entire interior compartment is covered in Raammat from the trunk to the firewall. It's great stuff. No buzzing anywhere and it's quieter than my fiancee's Focus on the highway. (when I let off the gas of course).

Yeah, same basic purpose. The Raammat I have is like black adhesive gum rubber backed by aliminium which makes it really easy to mold around things that are under the carpet.

Very nice work. When I change my interior's carpet, I'm hoping to do the same thing. The only area that rattles with my subs is the rear dash area. The plastic molding is bouncing of the window. Once I get the car re tinted, I may just put some velcro or something in between them. I have my exhaust dumping after the axles. Once I have actual dumps, I'd like to be able to hold a conversation without having to yell.

You should be able to talk to the person sitting beside you without a problem. My Magnaflow straight through exhaust has a lot of drone to it, but it isn't really all that bad with tailpipes and the raammat has to help some too.

That's because you don't drive the car from inside your trunk :hammer: get that James Bond BMW shit where you can drive the car from your cell phone, hop in the trunk, and you'll be bathed in the silence of your hard work :)

Raammat huh? Damn that's a lot of sq footage for the price (I just checked ebay). I've put dynamat in the doors, floor pans and trunk. The improvement in noise reduction was minimal (I don't have it everywhere), but I love the sound the doors make. I get a nice "thunk" instead a hollow metal sound.

Mine is everywhere, even on the A,B, and C roof pillars. Painting my mirrors sucked cause the power mirror wires were under the raammat in the doors and they really didn't want to come out.

raammat is a butyl product like dynamat extreme, second skin's damplifier pro etc. not a asphalt product like dynamat orginal and all the rest of the cheap sound deadeners. butyl>asphalt

i was thinking of using second skin's spectrum (liquid) on the whole car but since i found this raammat i got it instead. I still may try spectrum on the doors maybe. if i could find a deal on damplifier id put that on the doors. I might get some of their overkill to go over the raammat. going to go a little more looking

I simply want to not have to hear the squeaks and rattles. So removing the panels and putting something in there to fill some of the space in between sounds like a good idea to me because it will keep them from moving around as much.

My car isn't loud anyway and I can hear plenty of my exhaust through the windows and when the top is down. I dont need everything else shaking and vibrating to remind me I have an exhaust system. Plus I dont have mid pipe or mufflers that have a really deep sound to them (LTs, Dr Gas X, Spintech mufflers), so I dont get the drone and vibrations that way either.

My cobra on the other hand has a Pro Chamber and 3 chamber flows (barf) and when I drive both my cars back to back my convertible makes the cobra feel like a rattling fox w/ hatchback. So I'm going to put a little matting on the firewall and floor of the cobra just to get it a bit quieter.
