Race from a dig or go home. Anyone who builds a car to race from a roll is a skill less puss

Have you ever BEEN in a 700rwhp car? Unless you're running HUGE tires (as in, tubbed) you're really not getting traction below 60. The biggest tire you can squeeze in an IRS Supra (86.5-92, not sure on the 93-98) is a 315, even with a drag radial you're not gonna hook with that. Look at it from a Supra owners stand point. It's pointless to race from a dig because by the time you hook the other car shut down thinking it kicked your ass when you were just getting started. Huge turbos that lag then come on like a freight train don't help either... Think about rolling around on pony wheels with your average all-terrains in a car with 4.10s and H/C/I/E. Roll along in first gear at about 3k and mash the gas. Welcome to first second third and sometimes fourth gear in a Supra. lol

It's not that they're built to race from a roll, they make so much power that racing from a dig becomes a huge waste of time. If everyone rolled around on Welds with slicks out back, maybe. On 17-18in rims with low pros? Hell no.

I dont really care, dont build a car w/ that much power if you take the girl scout way out and race from a roll

Good job completely missing the whole point of what I just said. I'll let it die at that.

My whole point is that if someone builds a high HP car that cant even race the way racing was meant to be done then its nothing but a dyno queen. Hence the legacy of the supra

People race from a roll because it's the only way they can be competitive... Which slants thing's in their favor. Build a better car and it won't be a problem.

When they NHRA start's a roll racing class, I'll take it seriously, otherwise it's like auto x with a 35 mph speed limit.

If a car has to push 21 Lbs of boost and only run a mid 13... something is wrong... :angry7:

yeah most civics with that much boost run way faster than that on 4 cylinders

i think racing from a roll is cool i have never been to the track and a lot of oppertunities to race come up when you are going 70 already down the highway i would love a car that could pull like crazy up top some of those supras can go 60-120 in like 4 or 5 seconds and you have to be impressed with that and i am sure it would be super fun to do

No not really b/c it takes skill to launch a car off the line and skipping all that only makes you a worse driver b/c they would not know how to properly race. I dont care what anyone said about me my car or my mother I would never race from a roll. My car has monster TQ down low and a great top end so Im not compensate for anything by refusing to race from a roll, Im just not a little beioch
