A friend of mine who owns Speed Concepts (mustang parts website some of you might have heard of) has me set up to get a CCRM from one of his sources and I'll try that and see how it does and let you guys know.
If the plug is burnt I'd try that first... that plug is only like 15 bucks. Free if you can find a good one at the junkyard. After that dont waste money on the other stuff until you try to swap CCRM. My cobra was doing the same thing so I decided to experiment and try to eventually nail down the solution so I can pass the word along. I didnt care about just throwing parts at it because I planned to replace a lot of things on the car anyway because it sat for years before I bought it and lots of things needed attention. First I flushed the radiator... no difference. Car still would run the guage up. Then it really started to run hot but only at low speeds. So that means radiator. Got me a nice new OEM type radiator in there. While it stopped it from really getting hot it wasnt as cool as my stroker GT which was what I wanted. So I figured I'd check the plug...sure enough it was scorched on the middle plug. So I chopped one off at the junkyard and spliced it in. No change... still running around 205-210 on my PMS screen. Not dangerously high, even with the non-cooled blower on the car, but I want it lower because it will run that high night and day. Couple months ago, I replaced the fan motor, still no real difference. I'm down to a couple final solutions. Either the cooling system has a small pressure leak someplace or the CCRM is bad. A friend of mine who owns Speed Concepts (mustang parts website some of you might have heard of) has me set up to get a CCRM from one of his sources and I'll try that and see how it does and let you guys know. But I'm really expecting it to make the biggest difference.
