I managed to get the metal button out of the housing on the actual mirror and have the button glued back on the windshield. As far as I can tell the button is in the correct orientation (the rounded end is nearer the roof) but I can't get the mirror back onto the button. I'll try to slide it down from the top and it'll pop right off. I have a feeling there's some spring steel in the housing that helps hold the button in place as I had to use a screwdriver to bend the bottom of the plastic housing to remove the button, but I'm having problems getting leverage to do that while trying to reattach the mirror. Does anyone have any tips or tricks that might help? I can always take it to a glass place and ask for help but want to avoid looking like an idiot if there's a simple fix I'm just overlooking.</p></blockquote><p></p>
