Message: <blockquote data-quote="ttocs" data-source="post: 1562008" data-attributes="member: 11896">Well it is a shit install.  T-taps are a BIG NONO in the security world.  Sucks because they often damage the wire if they are not used correctly and can cause a small cut in the actual copper of the wire and limit current.  But removing them is easy.  Follow each wires to where the connect and remove the t-tap and then insulate the wire with some tape.  Now that orange wire normally is a wire that goes to ground when the alarm is active to cut the starter wire.  This is the only wire that would actually require them to cut the wire and insert a relay in between them to cut the circuit.  IF they have soldered or used some good crimp connectors on that relay install you can just disconnect the orange wire from the relay, insulate it and leave the relay in place.  Otherwise you will need to cut the wires and then reconnect the starter wire.</blockquote>
