Big THANK YOU to all here who chimed in! Everything went well. Old one came out; No breakage. New one went in pretty well. Just needs a little fine tuning (very small gap center of cowl): Probably a couple of the clips didn’t set in just right. But overall very pleased with the success and I only have one small burn mark from the soldering iron!
Where did you buy the new one? I got one on eBay hecand and this is the picture from the body shop so I'm going to send it back and tell them send me another one hopefully that one is better and fits better. It's only cocked on that one end

I got mine from LMR. I also ceramic coated it before installing. Easily a year ago and still looks new.

Gotcha. Like double the price at LMR though but to each their own. Not sure it said oem at LMR either. I just ordered a few online and one has got to fit well lol. I'll send the others back

Anyone here ever replace their faded, dull looking cowl cover? And washer sprayers?

I’m grateful for any/all tips related to it, including how to remove the wiper arms WITHOUT leaving scratch marks?!
I've removed my wiper arms, Cowl cover, mirrors and convertible trim and resprayed them with SEM trim black and they look brand new oem. Use a trim popping tool and carefully go across the cowl and you will find spots that the clips are and pry there.

that's not why the cowl I bought wouldn't go all the way down on that side though is it lol? As to prying?

Say what? Sounds like the clip isn't aligned correctly if you're trying to install it

If its warped then yeah.. send it back. If half the clips aren't in the right place it won't sit in correctly either. Either way. Sounds like you know what to do

Yeah when he called me and told me that and sent me the picture I went back and looked at reviews and well I had to Google reviews because I bought it on ebay. The one thing I like about Amazon they usually have at least a decent amount of reviews on an item for a lot of products. So yeah I wanted to Google some stuff about that particular brand and didn't really find anything. So that's when I googled you know stuff from the groups to see if anybody had any issue with the aftermarket ones.
