This is pretty cool! The Central Virginia Mustang Club and Mustang Don's Garage are having a fund raiser for the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society at the Byrd theater in Richmond this weekend:

Movie: BULLITT 1:30 p.m. movie show time The 1968, PG-rated, movie stars Steve McQueen, Jacqueline Bisset, Robert Vaughn, Don Gordon. Directed by Peter Yates.

100% of ticket proceeds benefit the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (LLS) $8 donation at the door (includes movie ticket)

CVMC club will host a table for membership interest and for collecting non-movie-goer donations. Richmond Police approved for up to 6 Bullitts and other Mustang display cars to park in front of the Byrd Theatre (allowing a space in the middle for special needs passenger drop off). Displayed cars are to arrive in front of the Byrd Theatre beginning 10 a.m. and remain until after the movie lets out. Several vehicles have signed up already. Attended the Bullitt movie event. Watching the film on a big screen was nice, especially for the chase scene! This was a busy weekend here in Richmond with many events going on, so I guess only about 80 people showed up. The Central Virginia Mustang Club helped sponsor the event and they had some member rides in front of the theater. Took a couple of pics with my phone, so quality not the greatest.

I had a laugh when the owner of the Highland Green fastback confessed that he'd never seen Bullitt until today!

Nice to see a sn95 there!
