ok well im kinda new to mustangs so ive been talkin to my friend whos built lots of them. he said that i can make a little bit of HP by just getting some new rockers. my question is what size are my studs and what ratio to go with. he also told me that you dont need to adjust the valves on these cars and that all you have to do is torque them to a specific ft lbs.

some info on my car

1994 Gt 5.0 5speed pretty much stock

The factory rockers are pedestal mounted. The valves don't require adjustment, but to install new rockers you have to use shims to make everything line up correctly.

You can get stud-mounted rockers, which are sturdier and allow adjustment, but to switch to those you have to get different heads.

I'm sure there are other members here who are far more knowledgeable than I am about actually installing these things.

Not sure if its worth all that just for a small hp gain, now if your going to fit aftermarket heads or some GT-40 heads etc, then make sure they have stud mounts, and rollers will be a worthwhile mod. But really you should be looking at the cam as well, plus the intake [h\c\i] at the same time, then your getting into money and labour, but your looking at a lot more HP.

Just save your bones and do the whole thing at the same time. Do heads cam and intake, you will not be dissapointed. Thats what H/C/I means.

I did that to my cobra and it feels like a beast now and that isnt with a tune. I get it tuned this saturday hopefully.

Yeah, I did heads, cam, intake, exhaust, gears, overbore, and front suspension. Then I got the car repainted and now I'm getting ready to to brakes and rear suspension (Griggs coilover suspension front and rear).

But I haven't put in my Pro 5.0 shifter yet....

honestly putting roller rockers on an otherwise stock motor is pointless 6 hp isnt worth 250 bucks. save your cash and get a set of heads and then stick some rockers on there along with a cam and intake swap that would be the best bang for the buck.
