Here's the thing, I can understand RR making noise, ticking, clicking etc when you're listening under the hood, but this guy hears the sound echoing off curbs and buildings and crap, that's quite the sound and I don't think that's just because "RR make noise."

my crane 1.7 cobra roller rockers have been noisey since the day I put them on. I thought the same thing that something was wrong but after having four people checking them they were right every time. I would belive it that fords fix to noisey rocker arms is a sound deadening coating, cheap a$$es. oh well what can you do, go buy a camaro? I'll stick with my first on race day and fix or repair dailey! lol

I experience the same thing he does. I've pulled valve covers and cranked the car and backed off the adjuster nuts and listened for tapping and the tapping from a loose rocker is definately a completely different tone. They just tick, and I can hear it going by cars, or like he says curbs. It sounds like an exhaust leak almost. I can see my wear pattern and it's dead center on my stem, so I know that geometry isnt the issue.

Well, my 95 GT has both the Crane 1.7 pedestal mount roller rockers as well as factory cobra valve covers.

I hear ticking slightly but nothing obnoxious..

As I said before, double check header gaskets. Chances are if you have aftermarket headers, they gaskets they come with generally suck crap! I just replaced the driver side gasket on my shorties with high performance ones(thick high temp ones) and it is A LOT quieter now.

Sorry to hear that man, I'm pulling mine apart soon to see if I can track mine down too. It's starting to bug me now. Can you describe yours and let me see if mine is close to the same?

Its just a loud ticking. It doesnt sound damaging but annoying. It does sound like an exhaust leak but I haven't checked my gaskets yet.

I think mine is very similar. When going by cars or curbs or buildings it ticks. Car has enough power to brake tires loose in top of first and second, idles decent, and appears to only come from one side, and I can hear it in the intake. Sound about right? Oh and it increases with rpm
