My grandson was gifted a 2004 Mustang convertible and a couple of boxes of parts. The problem is the fuel tank mounts on the uni-body are rusted out. There is other rust under the car but not really that bad and it is all confined to the rear section mostly around the trunk. The tank mounts seem to be about the only place that metal is missing. Are any of these parts available aftermarket or is this a salvage yard hunt? I can fabricate them if I have to. I just thought I would try to find something a little more factory looking. We got all new fuel tank, pump, mounting straps, and even the bolts. Just no place to bolt to.
