if your clutch isnt failing, i wouldnt replace it.

upgrade your brakes, upgrade to a PI swap, upgrade to at least a PI manifold, upgrade the headers, upgrade the driveshaft, buy a n2o kit.

clutch is one thing I'd suggest leaving until it gives you isses.

Mmmmmm PI swap + my straight piped exhaust = pure sex

If you don't need to replace it then why bother? Stock is fine for the mods you have. You make it sound like you're still making payments on this car, why not just use the money to help pay it off faster?

Make sure you use a Ford Racing throwout bearing! Don't go for a cheap one, they are known to fail prematurely.

I owe one more year, not too bad.

While its out, you could atleast pull the clutch and check it to see how much life it has left. Theres no way I would go through all the trouble of pulling the trans and not even look at the clutch!

Definitely inspect it while you have the tranny out, at minimum. Any sign of trouble, replace that sucker. Do you have another ride to get to LRS? Make sure they have it in stock, then pull the trigger after you drop the tranny and look at it.

It's a pretty easy job. I did a clutch job once in the pits of a race track, on jack stands in the middle of July. It wasn't pleasant, but doable.

Jones I'm at the same mileage as you and my clutch is in good shape. You could replace it now, but unless the car's been beat to shit on a regular basis my guess is it still has life in it.

So instead of getting the clutch today I went to Ford and got a new keyfob for my car. I was a little nervous spending $60 on a new fob if my keyless entry didn't even work considering it previously had an aftermarket alarm. So I took it to an alarm shop turn out it works! So not only do I have keyless entry but have the alarm as well. Also had them fix my passenger door lock actuator for another $65. They didn't use an OEM part so it looks Jerry rigged but whatever I can't see it and it works. So all in all I spent $157 to get all that done.

Sure is nice not having to worry about scratching the paint at night searching for the keyhole
