I seen a buddy of mine to day with a new toy and thinking of trading, He has a 1971 Chevy Truck c-10 restored custom with no rust any where. It has a buit 383 stroker, big cam, 3000rpm stall, cowl hood, 20"chrome wheels in the back, 18"s in the front. Lowered and its a dark green color. Its a nice truck would make a Bad A hot rod he is asking $10,000. He said he might trade me for my 2000 GT Vert. What you guys think? I've got more mustangs but I've been hunting for a good old school hot rod.

Well I have to say that is a nice looking truck and if you feel it is an equal trade and are looking for something different then go for it.

id trade all day, if it was a Ford. I'm not a chevy fan at all. other than that, i say go for it.

Your 00 GT prob isn't worth the $10k so seems like a good deal on your end.
Also depends on how well the "custom" work was done.

Get some pics up. Any dyno#s or build papers from the 383?

Well went and took a real close look at the truck today, has a real nice motor very strong running and blue printed. but so much for the body its has bondo in a few places and its not a full restore like the owner said it was. Its a real nice truck on the inside but its what i call a fifteen footer,Looks very nice from far away until you get up on it then you see the body probs. Its would make a good project but i can't see myself trading with the body needing work done. I guess i'll just sell the vert the old fashion way.
