Just wondering when our cars run out of gas? is it right at the E on the meter or can the needle go fast it like it does the F when it's full? Also is there a warning light for low fuel?

I just realized my car is a whole different animal when there's less fuel in it since its 150 pounds lighter lol and I want to know how far I can drive it :p

There is no low fuel idiot light. except when you run out and the engine dies, then the CEL will come on.
Take the gauge down to the red line then fill it up. subtract the gallons you added from 15.
Sorry I don't know the liter equivalent

I've only had it happen once, but the time I ran out of gas the needle overlapped the E by about a 1/2 width if that makes any sense. Usually when I go all the way to empty (which I try not to do) it fills up with about 13.5-14 gallons which means it gives you a little less than a gallon to drive on once it hits the E line. Then again you probably shouldn't be driving that close to empty, one because you'll suck up more crud from your tank, 2 you'll probably run out of luck and get stranded somewhere, and 3, you're probably putting unwanted stress on your fuel pump (sounds logical but I'm not sure)

If it runs out before it gets to "E" then just pop the needle off and move it a tad to the left till it reads correct. it's not to hard to pull the cluster.
It doesn't matter how much is really in the tank as long as E is EMPTY.

Mine runs out of gas exactly when it gets on E. Only ran out once by a accident when I was trying keep it low to change the fuel pump out.

As far as how far past "E" it will go is going to be unknown untill you find out for yourself. Every car is going to be different considering the gauges arent perfect in our cars. I personally never let mine get below an 1/8th of a tank except for the first day I bought it I wanted to see just how far I could go and it was just past the "E" when I filled it and I think it took 15.1 or something like that so I was all but dry. My advice would be not to find out or once it does get to the "E" put gas in it cuz it sucks to run out!!

Mine has never died. On my trip from Texas to Monterrey Cali. It got on "E" but never below that. I thought for sure I was going to run out but never did.
