I have always hated the way the vents just dissappear on black cars so I decided to try and accent them a little bit. Whatcha think?

I have some cut that I am working on for the rear brake vents also.

how much closer do you want me to get? from the front or the side? I cut a piece out of aluminum and then covered it with some carbon fiber lookin vinyl. Found the grill material in the basement and stretched it so that it is actually bent into a u-shape and comes above the trim piece but it is hard to show.

yes I realize the rear brake vents do not cool the rear vents, not sure why that matters...........

Got the rear vent cleared and finished. These small additions might be the beginning to a new end. Been plannin on gettin one of those carbon fiber s281 spoilers... I am also about to build a new sub box that will be mainly fiberglass but I think I will complete it with a real coating of carbon fiber.

So the lack of comments I guess means everyone hate them? Cool, won't have to worry about everyone copying me then.

I think its original. First time seeing it on an SN95...

Since you're going for the overall theme then these work very good and are subtle. I am sure that once you take some photos out in the sun they'll look even cooler.

Definitely an A+ for effort, looks very "Pro."

I like the idea just that type of wire isnt working for me maybe something else. Maybe cover the whole vent with the carbon fiber leaving the holes I would like to see that.

now speaking of venting air, I always thought the ones in the hood were purely cosmetic until I pulled the hood blanket down. I was suprised to see there are holes cut in it to allow air to vent through the holes, but it is all covered up by the blanket. I was suprised as I walked by it the other day while it was cooling off that I could feel wamer air comming out of the vent hole and never noticed this with the blanket attached. I can't help but think if I took a hole-saw and made a few more holes that it might help to vent even more air....

sublte is the term I like to use on my cosmetic mods. I do not want anything to scream to loud but when you get drawn it and notice some of the little shtuff like this it draws you in further.

I like the side vents a lot. I don't like that you can still see the factory vents through it though. Its kinda like the grills that people put on top of the stockers and you cans till see the emblem through, just looks a bit cheap. Of course, I'm sure its less noticeable in person, but still.

I'm gonna be honest, your work is top notch but I don't care for the finished product. You made what is usually a subtle styling accent too busy.

thats funny as you really don't notice it until you are 4-5 feet away so I am not sure how it is too busy, but I still see the compliment in that comment so thanks.

I am now working on some CF 5.0 center caps for the wheels. I think there was at least one other person on here that wanted to see it, I finally got the CF vinyl to do it so hopefully tonight I will have pics of it.

wow its funny then as we have ran the gambit of what would be good-bad. The wire needs some kind of edging to make it look right imo. I tried it with out teh grill material and it didn't look too bad polished but still just didn't look right with out the grill. The picturs do not show it but I have bent the material so that it is actually above the trim ring rather then just behind it which helps give it some depth.
