OK so another member on here JC has a friend that has a Mach 1 and some sniper tunning software. He offered to "tune" my car with it untill he heard that I have a swapped in '03 motor and said it doesnt work with engine swaps. Is this true? Why wouldn't it work? I mainly just want to bump timing run 91 octane, adjust for my gears since my speedcal is broken and maybe bump fuel pressure if thats even possible. I did try a search but not much info on Sniper so any info is appreciated.
Thanks,
John

I think he doesn't know what he's talking about. Seems to me if its a '03 motor and comp. that its going to be '03 code. I mean unless it reads the VIN of the car and becomes that model and body style's programming code. But then you'd have to flash the computer over the VIN (so the computer could read it) and that would be time consuming. I mean what if the programmer was Japanese? Would you have to translate the VIN for it?
