So i got my ass whooped by a 99 lightning, and a 82 gt (i know i know). BUT in all fairness, it was me and my buddy in my car, thats setup for low end, against a stock geared lightning and GT. I had a huge disadvantage.. both have more power, and both had less weight in terms of extra on top of stock GVW. I pulled to 120 and let off.. i was at 4k rpms in OD LOL i ran out of gear badly. Before someone starts to hollar about street racing, this is a first time for me.. and this was on a highway at 10 oclock, 3 lanes, and we were the only ones in sight :dunno: The lightning had my dad driving and corey in it (he's got a blown 97 cobra, radiator broke :() and then the 82 gt was my buddy drew.. just exhaust and a intake. Oh well, thought i'd share.. nice to know i hung with a lightning LOL mods below for those looking for something.. oh yea and i didnt have timing or fuel adjusted.. factory HP tune, no predator tune tonight

I dont bother racing here, the noise of my car attracts too much attention, and there's way too many hot hatchbacks on the road that could probably come in the top three at a Nascar event.
I did however outdrag one of those funny looking new Nissan 350Z sports things, pig ugly even if they do move a bit.
He was certainly shocked when my old car wizzed off, i heard his tyres screech in 2nd, but i think he might have backed off, i was only admiring his car, but i think he thought i had my race face on or something. ;)

I love racing L's, shit is funny. They take so long to shift, so my buddy Dave always takes off on the 2nd beep so it'll start pullin about the same time my '95 does. Starting from a roll in 2nd gear, I can keep ahead of his '03 Lightning until halfway through fourth. Its like racing a crotch rocket. When they pass ya, they pass ya like your sittin still. Dave does the same shit to me in the Lightning :(

is it an old L? the new one's are automatic's and they move.
Pretty sweet for a heavier truck that can tow 12K :)

Nah its an '03. I know they're automatic, heh. Going from just cruising, rolling along, to gearing down at WOT takes forever. Thats what I was trying to get across.
