Some scumbag hit my cobra!

Yea I know long time no talk on here but this was a post worthy subject. Finally the nice weather hits us here in Jersey and I get to take the cobra out, give it a nice wash and wax from top to bottom, have it out for about a week when today I park it in the parking lot (I work at a school) I walk in for about 5 mins, and when I walk out I notice someone ran into my rear quarter from just behind the rear wheel well to the tail lamp which to my luck wasn't cracked. Best part is that no one saw it and the jerkoff didn't leave a number, they just left. Cops are filling out a report for me and I'm checking with insurance about coverages and cost, but the point is that I can't believe people are really this much of scumbags that they have no decency. I mean I could understand if it was a shitbox they hit, but a nice cobra, I mean come on? Really?

Hey it happened to my wife as well. She walked in to pick up our girls from their elementary school and someone backed into her van, cracking the back bumper. Obviously it was another parent or teacher at the school. I mean come on we teach our kids to be honest and this is what we demonstrate to them?! The pisser was, the rear bumper was just replaced two months before from some idiot not paying attention, and rear ending her when traffic stopped. She's still in pain from that accident. I understand your pain. Its stupid that someone one, didn't hear the noise and two, didn't step up and either admit they did it or at least let you know who did!

That really sucks man. Someone backed into my Cobra at school literally the first time I had it there after my new paint job. Luckily there was no damage.

Once I backed into someone's car so I left them a note: "Hi, my name is Jake. Someone saw me back into your car, so I'm pretending to leave my information. Sorry! -Jake"

Lol, just kidding, but I saw a picture of a note like that on the internet once, pretty sad.

your school would be the last one left with out cameras. Do they have any on the lot?

I hear that the rear quarter panel is a fast way to total our cars, sorry to hear it man and hope that is not the case.

HA same thing happened to me bout 4 days ago at the gas station went in to pay and came back out and my car had been hit and nobody seen a thing, even went back in to have them check the cameras and they tell me the one pump outta 12 that there are that its not covered by a camera. But good luck with getting it fixed.

Sorry but you really cant expect to keep your car nice if you drive it or park it anywhere, no matter what, somethings bound to happen.

Ive got random door dings and big ass dents in my rear quarter panel from people being scumbags also.

That sucks man I'm sorry to hear that, the FIRST time i took my 66' out some a*s put a crease in my door, i guess he/she didn't notice how close they had parked to me (I'm one of those people that park in the back of the lot), I kicked in their door. I thought it was fair.

Very true. I've seen it happen and have a friend that owns a body shop. 1/4 panels are pretty expensive when they have to be cut out and replaced.

If the repairs aren't too bad, pay for it yourself, your insurance will likely try to total your car otherwise.

One of my coworkers told me that friends of his at his school used to look for nice cars that were intentionally parked out aways in parking lots (to prevent dings and accidents that you just described) and would throw their fast-food drinks and milkshakes on them.

Small town humor for teens I guess when the cow tipping gets boring...

Well thanks for all the replies, yesterday ended up being one of the worst days of my life, right after I posted on here I came down with some awesome food poisoning had to leave my first job early because of it, passed out at the house and then thought I was ok to go to my second job. Went in and was so sick that I had to leave and they just said to not worry about coming back in. Pretty freaking awesome right? lol Well at least I can look back and laugh. On a positive note My buddy that works at a body shop is offering to help me fix her up cheap so I'll def be taking him up on it. We should be starting it next week when I get back from vermont. I'll post some before and after pics
