So a little fun project I did recently, since I'm all about data. I decided to catalog all Sparco steering wheels in a spreadsheet, putting together all data available. Using this, I was able to determine which steering wheel would work the best for me based on various criteria. If anyone is interested, you can download it at the link below.

It's all about feel and comfort. For example, I figured I'd go with a suede steering wheel with a smaller diameter of 330 mm, so that it's more of a track car. What I found on the street is that 330 mm steering wheel is a bit too small for comfortable hand positioning, and suede doesn't feel as nice to touch and doesn't allow to slip through your loosened grip as you unwind the steering wheel. All these are personal preferences, but then again, isn't everything a personal preference when it comes to things of comfort?

I believe you are on to something! Getting the low down on a product that is no where , anywhere on a shelf is a genius idea. Not like its a pair of shoes on the shelf to try on.

All of this stuff is on their site, however it's all in separate pages, so a wheel to wheel comparison isn't that easy. If you try and use their COMPARE feature, it's basically a condensed version of what's on the site, removes pretty much all specs, and in grand scope of this is useless as a shopping tool. Being able to filter on the specs is crucial for this type of selection.
