Spark plug wires...

Zip tieing spark plug wires together(with no separator in between) is a TERRIBLE idea. These wires are carrying 30000v's constantly and give off a "corona" effect. To make a long story short, they can cause major electrical issues if tied together, that's why they make separators. And no, this isn't me spewing BS, this is coming from my auto classes and the Ford Techs. at the dealership I work for.

I don't get your point? The point is to use the zip ties as separators.

lol I never looked close enough to the pictures, but yes that is an interesting way. I thought you were zipping them ALL together, with nothing in between. My bad :p

Please actually READ posts and understand before posting stupid comments.

Also, other than maybe some radio interference, what are these "major electrical issues" you speak of?

I have seen one that has melted and cause a fire due to the lack of maintenance of the wires/ being looped together. But as I said, I never understood what was going on in your pics, Im sorry and apologize for that, Now let's forget it.

Rotten wires have nothing to do with whether they're tied together or not - you can't blame the fire/failure on them being zip-tied. That just doesn't follow. Don't post false tech.

Paul.

First I'd like to say I like what you did with the zip ties, Paul.

Rice slayer apologized. I dont understand why you had to have an attitude with him still. Am I missing something?

I wish. Someday I will have a cleanroom for engine building. I'm very particular about cleanliness and attention to detail.

This is my garage now.
