I don't do the fuel cutout switch mainly cause when I put it on there it has been sitting for hours but I would tell him to do it mainly for his saftey. I would run the car up and get the reading then check it in the on position and get the reading. Its not much different I just wouldn't wouldn't use thwould relieve the pressure unless I have been running the car

Well good news and bad news,

Good: it's just a fuel pump

Bad: I got the car

So when the time comes that I am ready to start driving it I'll grab a buddy and slap in the pump.
