stock exhaust size on '97 Cobra

Just like what the title says, what is the stock size on a '97 cobra?

I believe its 2 and a quarter inch exhaust. I know in 98, it went up to 2 1/2 inch. Correct me if I'm wrong everyone.

Could I make 2.25" tailpipes work with a 2.5" muffler?

You could but it would be a pain. Your better off getting a catback for your car.

Believe it's 2.25" with 2.75" tailpipes.

Pretty sure it's 2.5". Everything that I see as far as exhaust options on American muscle are all 2.5".

Quick google search comes up with 2.5" as well.

you can. my old Mach 1 catback was 2.25" and i had 2.5" Magnaflows welded in

you can probably find an adapter at the parts house for 2 1/4" to 2 1/2"

I have a pair of brand new slp lm1's but I need new tailpipes because of my wreck late last year. But it only messed up my drivers side tailpipe. I have 2.5" tailpipes from a flowmaster catback right now. I was hoping to find another tailpipe, but flowmaster only sells them in pairs.
