All right, My car is getting repainted completely and I go in tomorrow to get the quote and to sign the papers for it and the same place that did it the first time is re-doing it again(I work there this time though :p ). Anyways, they never clear-coated the black stripe on the hood last time so after 1-2 years, it started looking grey and faded, but I told them to gloss it and make it shiny. Here is my question, I still have a little bit of time to decide to keep the strip or not, and I want opinions! As it sits, My car has tinted taillights, back 3 windows are tinted too 5%(darkest I can get without limo tint). I will be getting black beauty headlights and obviously lowering it too and of course I will have new Chrome Saleens to go with everything. With these in mind, what do you guys think, keep the stripe or ditch it? I like it because it is unique and doesn't look like every other bright yellow stang out there and breaks up all the "yellow". Honestly, I hate yellow but I have grown to like it on my car. Anyways, here's my car now and one with similar mods, any votes?

no Stripe:

Last one shows how bad it faded from not being glossed and clear coated, would look REALLY nice glossed like when it was fresh. I do love the clean yellow look, but that stripe makes my car "different" from all the other yellow stangs out there...

im really diggin the no stripe and cobra headlights

Thats what I have :)
Exactly! It looks good don't get me wrong, but I like being "unique". I think if they did a gloss black vs. the flat black they did it in originally it would look amazing!

It's a yellow mustang, how much more unique do you want? The color itself isnt that common. I'd leave the stripe off. All yellow and lowered on saleens will look really nice, the stripe looks out of place.

I think that if you're going to have all the black highlights, you should throw the stripe back on it and continue it down into the bumper/grill surround area.

I like the way the cars look without stripes but I think it'd look pretty good on your car with as many other black things as you have going on.

If you decide on no stripes, then I think you need a set of fresh OEM Cobras to throw on it.

I actually like the stripe on your car. The only thing different i would do if you decide to keep it is wrap it down around the pony and thats it. I also feel that with the limited number of canary yellows that were made, you should just leave the stripe off. Bottom line.... it looks good either way, I know not much help from me lolol

I don't know how'd it look with the grille area filled in, I saw it on a red stang on this side and wasn't a fan. And Opal, there may have been few yellow SN95s made, but EVERY SN95 gt here is yellow basically, there is mine and 4 other ones, all those other ones are either riced out or in terrible condition.
