:dontknow:
I need help with a quick question- Steeda states that when installing their bumpsteer kit, no modification is needed (no drilling of the spindle) So- If I were to purchase a bumpsteer kit from Maximum Motorsports or Agent 47, or anywhere else will I then have to modify anything? Or are all of them the same when getting put on?? Thanks for any help. I need to pick up a kit before starting my suspension work next week. I have been collecting parts slowly and now it's time to get this car lowered and cornering like it should.
Thanks Again- Robb

I would think you would not need to modify anything, but I am not a product rep. Best way to get these answers is to call the company direct and ask... on the phone for 2 min and you have the GUARANTEED right answer

If you get a tapered stud kit, you don't need to modify anything. You will need to get it dialed in, so you either have to buy MM gauge while you are at it, or take it to a place that can dial out bumpsteer for you. The whole myth that if you set the tie rod parallel to the control arm is not really true. When I dialed in bumpsteer on my car as close to zero as I possibly could, there as a 4-5 degree difference between tie rod end and control arm. If you're not going to do it properly by doing it half ass, you might as well leave it stock, because for all you know, you actually could make bumpsteer issue worse.

Thank you both very much. I have it set up to drive the car to an alignment specialty shop directly after we're done installing everything. I've been waiting a long ass time to get the suspension how i want it. I can't wait to feel the results.

I'm purchasing the tapered set sold by MM for no real reason other than I just like all their stuff.

I installed this kit yesterday at my buddies house. My alignment is WAY OFF, but I think I got it almost spot on as I can before hitting the alignment shop. Even though my steering wheel is facing to the 10' clock position with the wheels straight, when I drive over crazy bumps the wheel didn't jerk to left or right ESPECIALLY here in New Jersey where bumpsteer can be put to the test.
