T/O and trans help

Ok anyone have a picture or a positive idea on the Throwout bearing.. Does it need to ride on the pressure plate forks or no.. I have the adjustable cable with the fenderwell adjuster and quad. I had the T/O on it at first but it made some noise i didnt like. Got a spring and fabed up a return on the clutch fork and the bell housing so as soon as i release the clutch the T/O moves about 1/8 inch away from the fingers of the pressure plate. Seems to work golden but in doing research cant find i definate yes or no..

Second is the input shaft retainer. Now i see that you dont need to press in the race but im reusing my old cobra steel retainer and seems to be a issue with the shim behind it. Now first off the bearing race will only go in so far and stop, the shim puts no pressure on the race which i dont like at all.. But in putting the race in it clips in and has very little movement in a spinning manner. I dont like that a race might be spining with the bearing. I went ahead and assembled it and checked endplay and is in spec. Dont like that the shaft moves all directions a little.. Does anyone have a idea of what stock shim size came in the 95 cobra t5 tranny, for shim or shims total?
