Hi All!

Hey, I know the thermostat temperature is critical to the performance of the 5.0's but what is the best for the 4.6?

i know the factory is a 195, and i think you would be safe with a 180 or 185 which ever it is.....you dont want to go with a 160 though because it can pout the car in open loop and u will be running rich, and gas mileage will suffer..

I had a 180* thermostat in my mustang.
It takes longer for your car to get to operating temperatures.
It will cool your car alot more efficiently than the stock 195*
thermostat because it will be in open loop more.
I liked the 180* thermostat in my mustang because in the
hot humid summer months my car would run cooler.
180* is the coldest thermostat you should get because 160* in too cold.
