thermostat * question

whats the temp that everyones running...?
i think someones told me 180* so im ordering one but wanna be 100% sure

I have a 180 but I am gonna go back to a 190 thermostat. My all aluminum 2 row radiator is way too efficient in the winter time LMAO

yeah my car was running real hot for a while but now the dang thing is acting funny...
it doesnt want to get up to operating temp...it'll 'chill around the cool side like 1/4 from the left side
and never go to the middle of the gauge....
im confused...

You're not doing your motor to good by running a very cool thermostat. The motor actually needs the heat to run at it's best.

I'd like to know this, along with 1998mustangGT.
My problem is pretty much the same. I have a 180* (I think) and my temp at it's highest is RIGHT AFTER the normal marking.

Example (red line is my temp. hand): [ || NORMAL ]

I'll need a 190*?

Sounds like you need, either, a new t-stat or a coolant flush.

i use a Mr.Gasket 160* thermo. only cause its like 90+* in South Florida. :uglystupid2:

A 160 degree T-stat should be accompanied by some programing tweaks.
