LX with the then-new 2V motor and redesigned interior compared to the '93 models.</p><p></p><p>This car was like a luxury car the way it rode. Hands down one of the most comfortable cars I've ever ridden in. Tons of room, some of the best seats ever, and had that mid-90s Ford build quality which IMO wasn't that bad at all. Silky smooth engine and steering.</p><p></p><p>My mom died in '06 and then my sister and I inherited it. As much as I really no longer cared for the car, I dropped my shitbox BMW like a hot potato to drive this car since it only had 55k miles then and ran like a top. Prior to that the only repairs it ever had was a MAF and an SSS sensor for the tranny, which I replaced in shop class in high school. Other than that it never had so much as a hiccup. The funny thing about this car was that from day one the "vent" air was ice cold even though it wasn't the AC. I don't know that my parents ever used the AC, since the non-AC air was ice cold for some reason, from the time it was new until I sold it.</p><p></p><p>I drove the car for about a year until I moved to Japan, at which point my sis and I sold it to the kid across the street with 65k miles on it. The kid promptly beat the shit out of it, towed lawnmowers with it, and even threw lawnmowers in the backseat of that flawless interior. Now he's selling it all fucked up for $900 to get rid of it since it needs a ton of work. He also claimed he bought it from us with a rebuilt tranny, no he didn't. It had a new sensor, not a rebuild. Kid's a fuckin' retard. He also added those autozone fog lights, ugh. It also appears the V8 badges on the fenders are gone.</p><p></p><p>On some levels I wish I could pick it up for probably $500 and slap the kid upside the head for trashing it out so bad, because in my mind I still see it as the most reliable car ever that drove like a cloud, but I bet it's too far gone now.</p><p></p><p>What a shame.</p></blockquote><p></p>
