have a 2001 cobra convertible, 58000 mi, recently switched the transmission to a 6 spd, has a cold air kit, and a performance tune from 5 star -- what are the pros / cons of the 62mm vs the 65mm BBK throttle body ? you see it with and without a TPS sensor -- is it worthwhile to change out the TPS module with the bigger throttle body ? appreciate your thoughts --

Throttle body upgrades are never worth it on stock and/or near stock cars. The manufacturer won’t purposely choke off the throttle body in any way that significantly impacts performance. Keep in mind, the smaller the hole, the higher the air velocity. Too big a hole and you can lose low end torque.

Also, your gas pedal will become touchier. Save your money for real mods. Not too sure what there is on the 4V’s, I’m more a 5.0 guy.

If you plan on aftermarket cams later then the bigger throttle body might be worth it. Power production from stock cams tapers off around 6000rpm, even though the engine will run up to 7000+rpm

Iirc the larger TB only helps the swirl port b heads. It can hurt the tumble port c heads. It's that velocity factor mentioned in the other posts.
