So I've had a new annoying sound ever since I did the Cobra top end swap. The weirdest thing about it, though, is that it only happens when I put my foot down on the gas pedal. The trigger isn't really RPM dependent, but more "once I give it more than 40% throttle." The sound itself is extremely RPM dependent, but I can't seem to locate it at all. While I'm driving it just starts, and sometimes it cuts out. It sounds like it's coming from the tranny tunnel, or behind the dash, because when I pull the shifter boot while I'm driving it sounds much louder.

Anybody have any idea what this could be? :dontknow:

The car doesn't run any different because of it, but it's very loud/annoying.

The best way to put it is that it sounds like a buzzing noise. Kind of like an R/C car. I was thinking it could be my throw out bearing or my pilot bearing, but then decided against it since it doesn't matter the orientation of the clutch (in out neutral etc.) It seems to be completely RPM dependent, but it doesn't happen all of the time, and it's driving me crazy. First thought was vacuum lines, but now that I've pinpointed all of those leaks it doesn't seem like any of them are where the sound comes from. I'm almost positive that it always starts under load, but that it continues after that regardless. The only other thing I've really noticed about it is that it gets much louder after 2k RPM.

Anybody else experience this?
