Message: <blockquote data-quote="ttocs" data-source="post: 1131900" data-attributes="member: 11896"><p>even if you go with a componant you will need to bypass the amp.  ford/jbl used speakers with strange impedences so that the amps will not play with regular speakers for very long.  With that being said componants will be more work to mount the speaker, the tweeter and the cross overs and honestly the sail panels where the stock tweeters are located are a horrible location for a speaker sq wise since it puts one tweeter 4 ft from your ear and the other 8 ft away.  It will be easier work to go with a full range coax speaker then componants and there is not much to gain from using the stock locations.</p></blockquote><p></p>
