Anyone have their windshield tinted? Kinda running the idea through my head, saw a blacked out fox coupe with 5% on ALL the glass. It looked sweet as hell. Just wanted to see what ya'll thought of it if you've got it. I've heard you have to change it every so often because the defrost vents will make it bubble.

i would imagine its harder to see pedestrians and cyclists, also small animals and stuff like that.
i know with my tint i cant see much out of the side windows at night, but i usually drive with them down.

for some reason it doesnt sound like a good idea to tint a windshield, but im sure it will look sick.

edit* those pics that javi posted LOOK badass. again though im not sure id want to drive around like that at night

i have a buddy who has a black 04 gt and he works at a tint shop so he has his tint like this. 2 layers of 5% on every window except the windshield and he has 35%(IIRC) across the entire windsheild. i drove his car once at night, from one parking spot at sonic to another, and i know as soon as i got out from under the light of the lights at sonic that i couldnt see outside of his side windows at all and was scared id curb his wheels around the curb lol.

now his car does look great and i plan to do the same tint job on my car once i get the windows fixed so that they go up and down(stupid 94-95 window motor bushings)

The red cobra just made me cream my pants. I do drive some at night so I'm a little worried about vision, but I've got HIDs and looking out the side windows (20%) isnt THAT bad. If they have lighter than 35 here I'd end up doing that probly. We'll see, gotta get the turbo motor done before I do anything else big like that.

1/4" nuts to replace the plastic bushing things inside the window motor?

I know a buddy that did it on his rx7 almost 20 yrs ago, he got pulled over and given a ticket for the windshield one day, the next day his buddy got him for his side windows being too dark. If you like talking to cops either on the side of the highway or in court the I recomend it but otherwise there is no illegal mod to our cars that could be any easier to see. Not like they have to get down under a lowered car to see if the plumbing meets code, all they have to do is look at your car hell from across the street even. Cops love to pull stangs over, love to get good lookin ones as well so if you want to I welcome it as that means the cop will look at you for half a second longer then me and all that means is I do not have to outrun the cops, only outrun you as that is who they are after..... How many people on here have got tint tickets? I know there are a few.......
