I am stuck between 3 tires and was wondering of anyone could give some insight on them..

I have a 03 mach 1 5 speed and want good traction.. I had sumitomo htrz3 on my previous mustang and they couldn't hook for shit.

So my choices are:
Nitto nt555, hankook ventus rs3, or sumi htrz2. they would be rears 285/35/18..

Thanks!

I figured that would be the popular opinion. The only reason I ask about the rs3 is tire rack has them on sale at 167 a tire.

As for the other two options... Skip on the Sumitomo. I hate them all. Junk. I can't really speak on the hankook because I've never ran them before.

I don't think any of them are all that great for traction. Decent summer tires but not great.

I'm guessing price is an issue or at least important.

I just got the nitto 555s and love them so far! Can't comment on wear yet of course, but they ride and handle great!

Most of my Nittos wore fast and traction got shitty pretty quickly.

I have the Invo's on now because I just wanted to try them out and they looked different. They are amazing in the rain and surprisingly good in dry cornering.
Not as good as my Goodyear GSD3's that I had prior but not much is on the street.

Yeah price is a factor. I'm not looking to spend 300+ on a tire mostly because it would be an overkill for a mostly stock mach. The rs3's that I am talking about are on tire rack and are the ones with the 160 tire wear.. I don't know if that means they won't last long.

tire rack shows a version 1 and version 2 for the Hankooks.
Version 2 has a 200 UTQG rating.
