Wow, what a difference in stopping power! Total conversion time was about 2.5 hours. Installed new braided lines too. Very pleased w this upgrade and I did the whole thing for under $250.

Got the calipers on amazon for $65 w no core charge, brake lines from AM, and rotors from eBay for $110 w ceramic pads.

Put the horse stickers on tonight will get pics later of that.

sweet. i did the cobra kit on my old 97. made the car stop great. i think i used the ebc greenstuff pads to cut on dust. never have done a drilled rotor though as i was always too scared it would fail far from home.

Did you flush the fluid too? Use the Valvoline synthetic, DOT 3/4 compatible.

The calipers came as a complete set from Amazon, they had a deal for $65 shipped with no core charge that I dug around and found. Loos like they went up a bit since I bought mine. If you're not worried about a Cobra logo and just getting "what you get" here's the links:

http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B000C73X0K/ref=oh_details_o01_s00_i00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B000C71VC2/ref=oh_details_o01_s00_i01?ie=UTF8&psc=1

No core charge, which is even better for people like us doing converting.

I asked around on the forum and most guys said these are decent rotors for the money, so this is where they came from:

http://www.ebay.com/itm/390555613364?ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1439.l2649

Here's the lines

And I bought Banjo Bolts which were $15 (make sure and check the threads on the calipers you receive before you buy, IMPORTANT)
http://www.speedconcepts.net/product_info.php?products_id=230

Then I painted them with ceramic paint, which you can get at just about any local shop (got mine from Manny, Moe and Jack)

So I went over just a tad more than $250, so actually under $300, not under $250. Sure is a lot cheaper than those kits other websites sell though.

Super easy install though, one side took a bit longer because it was the first, but the second one I had banged out in about 45 minutes.

Here's the added horsey logo.

A few guys said the braided lines would add a more resistance to the brake pedal, and it did in a GREAT WAY. Mine have always been too loose, this really tightened up my overall braking feel in addition to brake response.
