Track day 98’ gt

Hey y’all,

I use my 98’ gt as a track day car and for the life of me I can’t figure out why coolant keeps shooting out my radiator cap… these Moroso expansion tanks don’t have a fill level so idk if I’m putting to much in?? All the hoses are fine. But for whatever reason I keep getting steam and water coming out the cap.. engine is stock

Recommend changing cap, look at hose condition and maybe even changing pump. Fairly easy maintenance items. It ok to run a pint or two low in water . Give room for expansion . If track days--++ do they demand no antifreeze, if that the case add a water wetter solution to help reduce boiling

Does it do this even if it is just sitting and idling?

No just track days. A CEL came on and it was saying the coolant temp sensor was bad. So I replaced that and will probably replace the water pump
