If you're still running the auto ECU, you need to either locate the ECU out of a 5speed or get the car to a tuner that knows how to "unfuck" that. The C4 doesn't car what is happening electrically, it just goes and shifts based on its line pressure and vaccum signal. The AODE (E means electronically controlled) is controlled electrically (imagine that) by the ECU. SO by not hooking up plug that went to the old tranny, the ECU is thinking you're still in park/neutral and is applying a rev limiter. A 5speed doesn't take ANY signal from the tranny except for the VSS (vehicle speed sensor) which has nothing to do with the tranny at all so this what you need to get....a T4M0 Computer for a manual.</p></blockquote><p></p>
