Well around 70k the synchro's went out again. At that time I got the syncros replaced, new clutch, t/o bearing, ect(pretty much a full rebuild). Well, I'm around 116k miles and the T/O bearing sounds horrible when clutch is released and the clutch pedal gets harder to push in as time goes on. I have not drove it much since this has been happening. My question is, what is my best option to do for this trans? Is this tranny worth rebuilding(I googled rebuild kits but nothing really came up except <a href="http://www.americanpowertrain.com/Ford/transmissions/99-04k.html" target="_blank">http://www.americanpowertrain.com/Ford/transmissions/99-04k.html</a> but it doesn't really give info on the kit other than one of the kits can hold up to 700 hp), or should I dish out money on a better tranny? I see a lot about the T-56, but I really dont want to waste all my money in that. I do plan on spending money on getting Heads, cams, intake manifold, ect in the near future and dont want to take all my money out towards the tranny, but I don't want to waste money on some build that will crap out in the future. I don't know if this helps but i plan on getting around 350-400rwhp when I get done with it next year(thats my goal at least). Anyone have any good ideas.</p><p></p><p>Thanks</p></blockquote><p></p>
I have a 2002 Mustang GT with the tr3650 in it. I bought the car at 33k miles on it and when I bought it the owner gave me all the paper work.. One of the things done under warranty was the tranny got its synchros replaced. Is this tranny worth rebuilding(I googled rebuild kits but nothing really came up except http://www.americanpowertrain.com/Ford/transmissions/99-04k.html but it doesn't really give info on the kit other than one of the kits can hold up to 700 hp), or should I dish out money on a better tranny?
