I've had a ghetto rigged transmission crossmember in my car for awhile now (~5000 miles/8 months). Not even sure what its out of, or anything. Came with my old Tremec 3550 that I had in the car, and I used it on that trans setup. When I sold the Tremec, I kept the crossmember. I went back to a T5 setup, but the crossmember I had been using was about 2" short from where it needed to bolt up to the T5. I just cut out a plate of steel, drilled some holes and been letting it ride like that for awhile. Its not given me any problems, other than the ugly fact I always think about it failing. So this past Wednesday, I order a Ford Racing M-5059-A transmission crossmember from 50Resto/LMR. It arrived yesterday, and I went to install it today, but its too wide! It measures 4.5" from each end of the mounting tubes, while my mount receptacles on the car only measure about 3.25". What the fuĉk gives! I'm 98% positive the crossmember I was using the first round with my old T5 setup was out of a fox, this new one is made for a fox. Why doesn't it fit I need help, stat. Info, pics, sell me a crossmember, whatever, HELLPPPP
