I was wondering how many quarts of transmission fluid a T-5 takes? I've heard so many different answers lol.

2.7 qts. I just replaced mine, and It took just under 3 qts. Make sure that the car is level when you fill it.

just fill it up via the fill plug or under shifter until fluid starts to come out the open fill plug hole, and then its full. From what I've read, the results are 2.5-2.8 quarts of fluid needed. Since my car has been on jack stands for over a month in the back yard due to me exploding a bearing in the rear end, I went ahead and changed out the t5 tranny fluid for some penzoil syncromesh. Hope the oil change fixes the notchy 1-2 and 2-3 shifts.

I went with Royal Purple Synchromesh, and actually it takes 2.75939878947598754985043875604385630489568475t6734 qts to be exact :hammer: :hammer:

You can also fill it through the shifter such as if you were changing from the stock shifter to something else. Im not sure what mines got in it now but Im going to get some of that Royal Purple stuff :thumb:

I used some clear tubing from inside the car(about 2 feet), down along side of the trans and intot the fill plug and it went pretty smooth.
