So...Im looking for a power adder. I have a 150 shot of nitrous, but im done with the gas...I Cant decide between a supercharger or a single turbo setup. Whats the cost difference between the two...I was looking at the very few companies that sell turbo kits for the 94-95 5.0, it seems to me that i could piece those systems up for alot less the they are asking?...im a fairly good fabricator, so that wont be an issue... which makes more overall power??...im going to a 351 with a 4 bolt main and forged internals any suggestions on motor parts? (ie which rods and pistons) This car will still be my daily driver...im looking for like 450whp with a bullet proof motor...and a/c lol

If i wear you, just stud your heads, put good gaskets on it, and a 64mm turbo single setup will get you to your goal no problem.. As long as its tuned right, stock blocks and internals can last for a good while.. not saying forever but time for you to forge and piece together your 351.

yeah... sounds good to me... saves me a pretty penny... I have read that 302 blocks are good for around 500hp... The reason im going with the 351 is the 4bolt main...i picked this shortblock up for 50 bucks. the motor has never been bored and i have read that they are 10x better blocks as far as durability. My current 302 runs great no leaks and great cylinder pressure, but it is 14 years old and the only thing i have done is new head gaskets. So it is in need of a full rebuild. from the research that i have done there is no real cost difference in rebuilding the 302 then the 351w... I want my car to be able to reek havoc at the track and drive home with no worries...lol

Yes, everybody knows the the 351 block is stronger than the 302, but the 302 is good to around +/- 500hp. If your power goal is only 450, then you should be fine, as long as you have a good tuner near you. to rebuild the 351/302 there isnt much difference, but to put the 351 in your car is where the extra cost comes in. There are "extra" parts you have to buy.
