Ok a turbo system is going on my DD 94 5.0 mustang since i havent found a beater yet. I need to know every little thing i can do to keep the engine bay/turbo running cool and nice. Im getting a heat extractor hood so that should help, Im pretty sure upgrading radiators should help so whats the best radiator on the market?? Basically i wanna be able to drive my car just about anywhere without worrying about any heat issues or problems plus i like to race. Im open to any suggestions.

The Fluidyne radiator is proven and cools better.

for the heat you'll want to get a heat shield for the hot side, and you can wrap the down pipe to get the heat out and away from the engine.

how about ceramic coating the hot side? it helped when I did my ceramic coated headers, i bet it would help in a turbo app. too. heat shielding would help as well.

forget the heat extractor hood worthless waste of money and you can do better things... i say go Meth injecton and a good intercooler, use heat wrap on all the hot side piping and you should be fine.

Summit racing has all your heat wrap and methanol injection needs. I would look at DEI (design engineering, Inc) products, I have used their stuff and it works wonders. they make really nice heat shielding products.

Paint works okay, but your better off either ordering ceramic coated, or having it done before you install. you will like the results later. I have ceramic coated headers, and other than slight discoloration, they look the same as when I installed them 3+ years ago. they keep heat in quite well too, I cant really feel any heat from them unless I actually touch them.

I Second that, Ceramic coating or HPC coatings are a nice way to go.
Fit up all your piping to make sure nothing needs to be modified, then you can get what you want coated.
