There's a guy locally here selling a pair of NEW FMS SVO UDP's for 94-95 5.0 for $40! I'm tempted to get them because of how sweet the deal is. Are UDP's really worth it? I live in TX but I rarely use the AC since it's a vert, however i have a 2400w of sound pumping throughout the car and sometimes I have it cranked but not always. For 40$ you cant really beat that but with my current mods and a 75mmtb on the way, is it worth it or just leave it?

40 bucks is 40 bucks... Got access to a dyno? Do a before-install-after test, and see what you come up with... If anything, sell em for 40 bucks if they don't do jack. lol

you will not notice the gain in HP that they advertise, but you will notice that the alt can barely keep up the voltage at 12v at idle. You get to spend your time at lights at night watching the tach and voltage gauge.

I had them on my car for about 3 month and they was happy to sell them. Does this guy want to trade for your stock pullies? Those are the adds I always see, wonder why........

Wow they tax the alternator that bad huh? What accessories were you running besides HL's for that kind of current draw? He's just selling them, no trades or anything and included a picture of them. Exact quote from ad : (Im selling a set of "NEW" underdrive pulleys that fit 94 & 95 5.0 Mustangs.

Still in the box, never mounted!

I have a big stereo and couldn't dream of turning it up at lights with out holding the gas in a little. You can help it a little by not putting the alt pulley on but they what are you really gaining now, a couple% for $40 is not worth it imo opinion as it could be put towards something that will matter. They also slow down your water pump so if you plan on upgrading heads/cam or any real upgrades later the pulleys can risk overheating the block with the reduced flow.

So as I said, you are not going to slap them on and then want to come on here and write about how much better the power feels, but you will now be obligated to watch your voltage, and hope your battery/alt are not hurt by low charging at idle. At the VERY least DO NOT GET RID OF YOUR STOCK PULLIES, I was really happy to be able to put mine back as I hear most UDP customers are.

Yeah i did the H/C/I mods(read my sig), which is why I was wondering how much more could i gain from what i already have done. But from the way you put it, seems more like i'm putting things at risk. What kinda sound system you got in yours?

and did you notice a gain in power? You do not notice any change at night with yer lights on?

If you already have your motor built up a little bit I would certainly not recomend it. Maybe for someone that has done nothing to their motor and isn't going to do alot but to risk the cooling of it at the gain of a few hp seems a off to me.
