i'd be happy to achieve a video of this quality...looks pretty simple.

the gopro camera came with its own software but I have been using windows movie maker myself and been happy with it. STill waiting for the hero3 I won to come hopefully in the next week or two. I have been planning an action vid for some time and been playing around with different rigs use to get shots from steady-cams to the suction cup mounts and planning on making a cable-cam guide as well. I also want to slap the camera on my slash 4x4 rc car and get some close to the ground shots while moving fast(it can do 45-50) while hopefully not running it over....

tony - i dont see why not..that video has pretty much everythign to do with the camera/pic taker and not reall much of anything but simple transitions for editing

scott - that would be cool.....in your intake polishing video how did you get your speed increase as high as ou did..it seemed like more than 2x whcih is the limit on many of the ones i've been testing out

yea whip, that's what i'm thinking. doesnt look like any real complicated editing at all. just the transitions offered on youtube are fuukin silly. hmmmm, wonder if i have to even pic a transition from there...just let it transition on it's own from clip to clip...heehh???

again everything was done through windows movie maker it has the possibility to go up to 32X speed. It also has a number of fade-in/out and different effects you can use.

I will tell you tony that while it isn't all that hard it does take some time and your first few movies will be a learning exp but not in a bad way.

it was on my laptop with windows 7. So far it has been able to do anything I have needed. What kind of pc are you running though as HD video will tie your system up like a mofo converting/copying/transferring all that info so much that I went out and bought a 2 TB external hard drive just to be sure I would have enough space to put everything.

Those videos you posted Tony can easily be done in Windows Media Player.
The most important thing is that you get a HD video camera or something of that nature.

Like Deeplist said, Sony Vegas is a graat program. I had alot of luck with it in the past.
If you want to step into big boy editing however, get Adobe Premiere CS6.

I have been considering selling my hero2 and all of its goodies to buy a hero3 so that I will not have to keep different skeleton cases for the 2 and some other stuff that is included in the 3. Only used it 6-8 of times, 2 skeleton cases(one waterproof one not), 2 extra batteries and wall charger, wifi backpack, lcd backpack. If I had not won the 3 I would not consider it as the 2 does everything I needed it too(and for you). I would need to wait to get the 3 which I hope will be 2-3 weeks away but once I get it if your interested I could let you know.

As it's been noted, windows movie maker will be more than enough for those videos.

And whip, I've sped up videos waaay faster than 2x lol
