Recently my 94GT has been making some weird noises from the engine. Its only happens on cold startups and not if the engine is already warm. A little back ground of my car. Its a 94Gt it has 150000KM, American Muscle Cold Air, and Full dynomax exhaust. It started to happen about a month ago... around the same time i put on the Cold Air. Any help is appreciated!

Video:

And i may as well ask if anyone knows how i can fix my steering wheel cruise control button. You can see that its busted off... stupid tire iron.

Cheers!

upr makes billit plates for the cruise control, might be a cheaper route if all you need is the plate

Thanks guys, Ive replaced a starter on a fox body so i think i can do this on my own.

Do you guys still want under the hood footage or is this for sure confirmed a starter problem.

Thanks, Brob.

Yeah man, its without a doubt your starter. Since you're replacing it anyway, try this and see for yourself. Once your car is running, turn your key to the 'start' position. The noise will be reproduced. That's your engine spinning at 1000+ RPM's and grinding the gears on your starter. Not sure why it's happening to your car on startup.. but that's definitely the problem.

Did you ever get the starter replaced? I have the same noise but I also feel a clunk in the pedals when the car starts and was wondering if they are related?
