I got the high/low kit but there's not much difference in the way out output. It wasn't much more so i figured wtf and it helps keep the car legal with high/low beam.

Hi/Low HID's have two capsules, one for each side just like a standard halogen setup.

-Removed because I was mis-informed, sorry.- :BangHead:

Oh yeah, if you're going to do your headlights, don't forget to get a single beam kit for your fog lights too if you have them. (Personal opinion.)

The fog lights should be a single beam 899 Kit. I think the Cobra's are the same or use an 893 bulb, they would all have the same base.

Looks like DDM doesn't specifically sell the 899 or 839, but the 880 kit should be the same.

The headlights do 6k. If you go 55watt they will be more white then blue and if you go 35watt they will be have more blue in them. With the Fogs all you have to do is get a 800 Series bulb kit. All 800 series kits work. I have the VVME 6k kit and i love it :)

Had to add Abbreviations sorry

DDM FTW...I have the single beam 8k in my headlights, just because I've had a million problems with my hi/lo VVME kit, so when I switched to DDM I went with the single beam and have had zero problems.

this is wrong. there is not a separate chamber for high beams, it simply moves the bulb to one side to reflect off a different part of the headlight housing.

As for the fog lights go, I have the 880 kit.

Hmm, Interesting. I can't find where I had read that at one point, but I suppose that I was mis-informed. Thanks for the info.

This actually seems to be a pretty good explanation of different HID's and how they work.
