Work on what? You didn't post what kind of car you have.

Rear axle on a 99-04 is slightly narrower than a 94-98 IIRC.

I want some 16x7 or 16x8 to replace my stock 5 spokes for now. What offset should I look for?

I had +45 wheels with a +25 spacer which made the offset a +20 and they fit perfectly.

You can run your +35 wheels with a +15mm spacer and it’ll work.

You won’t run into any issues with a 7 or 8 inch wheel in +20 offset unless you run excessively tall tires.

16’s?? Hell, it’s been so long since I looked at any of the factory wheels I can’t remember if they were 16 or 17’s. [emoji23]

If you're referencing a + x mm spacer, whats a - x mm spacer? :) lol

I've never bought wheel spacers but I guess I would assume they'd be labeled as -? since the thicker the spacer, the more it takes your offset negative? Unless I'm thinking about it wrong

Positive offset moves the wheel’s mounting pad outward and negative offset moves it inward in relation to the wheels center line. Those ridiculous truck with the wheels sticking 12” outside of the fender have negative offset wheels, for example.

Right, so many aftermarket f150 wheels are around 0mm, and factory i believe is around +38mm give or take. +10mm is still acceptable in my eyes, but a ton of douches running -20 etc.
