I still don't understand why you need anything from the Lightning column

now im about to sound stupid here, so everyone gets to make fun of me.

how would you transfer from a lightning column shifter to the shifter in the mustang.
for some reason i didnt think it would be an easy process.

explain please?
otherwise i was thinking the swap would be drop and go.

you dont need to transfer the column shifter

You never see the L Motor in Sn95s it always the New Edges

I've seen it four times, one member right on this board has it done.

I'm still not understanding the Lightning column question though.

i think that he might be thinking if you transfer the motor with the trans then you would transfer the column shifter instead of the floor shift, but you wouldnt have to transfer the lightning trans

That's what I thought too, I just don't understand the question itself really, but I think you got it.

He's talking about the linkage from the column to the tranny on the Lightning and convert that over to the console shifter on a mustang to keep it down on the console, not on the column.

i wouldnt want the column shifter in a mustang, but i didnt know if it was easy to convert from the lightnings column to the mustangs center console.
or if you would just use an entirely different trans.

The Lightning motor will bolt to the Mustang's trans.

Sorry to bring back a dead thread but J.R would it bolt to the t-45/t-5 or just the 4r70w?

They are both the same bellhousing. The T45 and 4r70w that is, there aren't any stock modular pattern T5's, until 2005 and that just get's all confusing.
