look at the adjustment screws on the back of the headlights. There are metal clips there. You gotta pull up on the clips to get them off and then pinch the tabs on the black plastic knobs that the clips were on. GENTLY pull on the the light while you do this. They're a PAIN IN THE A$$. Needle nose with a 90 degree end and a long reach or channel locks help. Careful though, they break off the housing easily though

terrible is all i got to say lol but ryclef hit it ...the trick is the angle head long reach needlenose.....after 45 mins on one headlight i realized how much easier my life would be with them....on the adjusters you will see the lips you need to compress with the needlenose i recomend squeezing them once.....while pulling then release the needlenose (keep pressure one the light....pulling) then re-grip further back on the adjuster and they will pop right out

I'm still not really understanding it. the little black things with clips on them on the screws? there is only one behind my light. and that is near the center. i pulled the corner light out and there is a screw and that's pretty much it.

any pics would be helpful... i didn't think this would take more than like 2 minutes to get out, who came up with this system?

lol 20 grit.... lol i would say not like gritty more like grand canyon ....but basically the cleaner kits consists of a wet sand with like 400 then wet with 800 then with like 1500 final then you have to polish them with a plastic polish with them out you can get to all angles ...if you try to do the sanding thing do it like polishing metals every time you switch grits the finer grit must cover up the old cuts of the paper that way when you get to the final stage its not destroyed

Unfortunately cleaning them up is only a temporary fix. I polished mine up 3 or 4 times. The yellowing keeps coming back, worse each time. You are better off not wasting your time polishing them, just get new ones and be done with it.

The 97-98's are pretty easy to get out. The 94-96 suck.

The black plastic peice that goes across the top was changed in 97. It does not go all the way across, so there is easier access to the back of the light assembly. Other than that it is the same.
